19 May 2009 // DRED is now OUROBOROS (Official Press Release)

After much thought and preparation we have decided to change the band name. It was a unanimous decision that we needed a more powerful and meaningful title that more suitably reflects what we are about and better fits our musical and lyrical themes.

From here on forward DRED will be known as OUROBOROS.

Our new MySpace page is already up and running and a new merch line is due shortly and the designs can already be viewed on this new page.

The current DRED MySpace will remain active for quite some time to come in order to help inform the fans of the name change.

Our upcoming full length will be released under our new name.

Let us stress that despite the name change, the bands line up, the music and our goals remain the same.

Our debut show under the name OUROBOROS will be on Saturday, 20th of June at The Manning Bar with Psycroptic, The Amenta, Ruins and Switchblade. Looking forward to seeing you there.

22 February 2009 // Summer Slaughter Band Comp Result

We are honored to announce that DRED will be opening for the Sydney Summer Slaughter Tour!

Many thanks to everyone who came to the band comp to support us as well as Sarah, Soundworks and the US Summer Slaughter team for making it possible.

22 January 2009 // DRED in the Summer Slaughter Battle Of Bands Competition

DRED has been confirmed as a finalist in the Summer Slaughter Battle Of Bands Competition. Winning this comp will give us a slot on the NSW leg of the Summer Slaughter Tour to share the stage with Necrophagist and Dying Fetus.

The NSW competition will be held on Friday the 20th of February at the Bald Faced Stag and will be DRED's 1st show of 2009! We hope to see you there.
